DO YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP?

What is happening to you? Do you feel like just when you thought you were being blessed with breakthrough, you were cursed instead? Has an adulteress or adulterer risen their ugly head out of the blue in your situation the past couple of weeks, just when you thought things were looking up in your marriage? Did you get a bit of bad news, a paper served, a rejection letter from your spouse, or maybe just a long time of nothing at all. Do you feel like it is over, you are done, that you cannot go on like this anymore? Do you feel like something is very wrong, that you have been faithful to God, you have done it all, the fasting, the speaking Gods word, the praying, but despite all that your spouse seems to go on with their wickedness unhindered by God, maybe even prospering, meanwhile your life is falling apart in every area? Do you find yourself very confused by this, to the point that you wonder if you are just messed up? Maybe you are not a child of God afterall, maybe for some unknown reason to you, you are shut off from God, maybe you are not even saved, maybe you are just some crazy person? Have you even had thoughts of suicide, just wanting to die and not spend another day in this hell? Have you finally reached a true understanding of Job like you have never had before, where at one time no'matter what was going on, you still felt blessed in that your trial of suffering has brought you into a deeper relationship with God, but now even that is not blessing you, like Job you just want to hide, want God to remove His hand from you, take His eyes off you, you just want to be nothing and un-noticed by either party in the spiritual. Do you feel like you are on the verge of failing in your spirit and soul? Have you pondered that it all seems impossible, not only your spouse and marriage, but even emotional healing of all the damage that you have suffered in this battle? There is no understanding, no reality, no answers, no direction? Do you feel that maybe you are just wrong, that this is not Gods will for you afterall, you made a mistake, and He does not want to bring your spouse back? Maybe some of you are even feeling better then you ever have because you have just shut down completely, you do not even care anymore. Maybe some of you have a outside person pursuing you which is helping the pain, and this person looks like everything you have ever wanted, and you are thinking that maybe this is where your blessing is instead of your spouse? Are you beginning to convince yourself that maybe your blessing does not have to come in the form of your spouse coming home, and you are alright with that, just as long as you are blessed in some way, another person maybe. Is the silence of God unbearable and it feels like the dark night of your soul? Are you finding that about all you can utter in prayer is Gods will be done and begging for deliverance from this nightmare, one way or the other, you will take anything at this point just to be delivered from this suffering?

Does any of this describe you? Then I have a word for you. I know exactly how you feel, and many of you are feeling it. Many of you have even spoken out from your mouths in the past couple of weeks, some of the things I have stated above. I have not personally heard you do so, but I know. The silence of God, so agonizing, so unsure, even frightening because you have no idea anymore what to believe.

I sat quietly and pondered the silence of God a couple of days ago, and in that quiet God spoke to me clearly and He said, "Yes, I am silent, I do not have to say anything, I have already said it and now you just have to believe it".

You have been begging for a neon sign from God, scripture is not feeding your faith anymore because it seems to be falling to the ground when you speak it. You want a burning bush, you are begging God for a burning bush. I know....I know exactly where you are.

Well, I am not bringing you a burning bush, or maybe I am, only your spirit will know. I am bringing you the facts though. God has spoken out of the silence, and He has said all He is going to say because He has already said it all, and now it is up to you to believe it or not. You know the scripture about when satan tempted Jesus up on the mountain when He went to fast and pray for 40 days. Everytime satan spoke to Jesus, Jesus said...."It is written....". Jesus did this because everything that satan came at Him with, it was already covered by God, a response already stated by God, and that was just that, end of story. Satan went away defeated because nothing he does or says can overcome the word of God, nothing. Here is a word from God for you....

It is written, Mar 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

It is written, Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

It is written, Mar 10:7 'And for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, Mar 10:8 and the two will become one.' So they are no longer two, but one. Mar 10:9 No human being must separate, then, what God has joined together."

It is written, Mal 2:14 You ask why he no longer accepts them. It is because he knows you have broken your promise to the wife you married when you were young. She was your partner, and you have broken your promise to her, although you promised before God that you would be faithful to her. Mal 2:16 "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel. "I hate it when one of you does such a cruel thing to his wife. Make sure that you do not break your promise to be faithful to your wife."

It is written, Ecc 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

It is written, Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

IS YOUR SPOUSE IN ADULTERY AND YOU FEEL LIKE THEY ARE JUST GETTING AWAY WITH IT? THAT THIS UNGODLY RELATIONSHIP IS GOING TO REMAIN PLEASANT FOR HIM/HER....NOT SO:

It is written, Exo 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

It is written, Deu 5:18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.

It is written, Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

It is written, Pro 2:16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; Pro 2:17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
Pro 2:18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. Pro 2:19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

It is written, Pro 5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil: Pro 5:4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword. Pro 5:5 Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol; Pro 5:6 So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, and she knoweth it not.
Pro 5:7 Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth. It is written, Pro 5:20 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? Pro 6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? Pro 6:28 Or can one walk upon hot coals, And his feet not be scorched? Pro 6:29 So he that goeth in to his neighbor's wife; Whosoever toucheth her shall not be unpunished.

It is written, Pro 6:32 He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He doeth it who would destroy his own soul.
Pro 6:33 Wounds and dishonor shall he get; And his reproach shall not be wiped away.

It is written, Pro 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman With the attire of a harlot, and wily of heart. Pro 7:11 She is clamorous and wilful; Her feet abide not in her house: Pro 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, As an ox goeth to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the correction of the fool; Pro 7:23 Till an arrow strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life. It is written, Pro 9:13 The foolish woman is full of noise; she has no sense at all. Pro 9:14 Seated at the door of her house, in the high places of the town, Pro 9:15 Crying out to those who go by, going straight on their way, she says: Pro 9:16 Whoever is simple, let him come in here: and to him who is without sense, she says: Pro 9:17 Drink taken without right is sweet, and food in secret is pleasing. Pro 9:18 But he does not see that the dead are there, that her guests are in the deep places of the underworld.

It is written, Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

It is written, Pro 22:14 The mouth of strange women is a deep hole: he with whom the Lord is angry will go down into it.

It is written, Pro 23:27 For a loose woman is a deep hollow, and a strange woman is a narrow water-hole.

It is written, Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

DO YOU THINK THE ADULTERESS OR ADULTERER INVADING YOUR MARRIAGE IS NOT GOING TO BE PUNISHED, THAT THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH STEALING YOUR SPOUSE..THINK AGAIN:

It is written, Jam 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

It is written, Hos 2:5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. Hos 2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

It is written, Hos 2:9 So I will take away again my grain in its time and my wine, and I will take away my wool and my linen with which her body might have been covered. Hos 2:10 And now I will make her shame clear before the eyes of her lovers, and no one will take her out of my hand. Hos 2:11 And I will put an end to all her joy, her feasts, her new moons, and her Sabbaths, and all her regular meetings. Hos 2:12 And I will make waste her vines and her fig-trees, of which she has said, These are the payments which my lovers have made to me; and I will make them a waste of trees, and the beasts of the field will take them for food. It is written, Eze 16:36 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "You stripped off your clothes, and like a prostitute, you gave yourself to your lovers and to all your disgusting idols, and you killed your children as sacrifices to idols. Eze 16:37 Because of this I will bring all your former lovers together---the ones you liked and the ones you hated. I will bring them around you in a circle, and then I will strip off your clothes and let them see you naked. Eze 16:38 I will condemn you for adultery and murder, and in my anger and fury I will punish you with death.
Eze 16:39 I will put you in their power, and they will tear down the places where you engage in prostitution and worship idols. They will take away your clothes and jewels and leave you completely naked.
Eze 16:40 "They will stir up a crowd to stone you, and they will cut you to pieces with their swords. Eze 16:41 They will burn your houses down and let crowds of women see your punishment. I will make you stop being a prostitute and make you stop giving gifts to your lovers.

It is written, Num 5:27 If she has committed adultery, the water will cause bitter pain; her stomach will swell up and her genital organs will shrink. Her name will become a curse among her people.

It is written, Jer 30:14 All your lovers have forgotten you; they no longer care about you. I have attacked you like an enemy; your punishment has been harsh because your sins are many and your wickedness is great.

GOD WILL DEAL WITH YOUR SPOUSE AND THE FOREIGNER IN YOUR MARRIAGE...THE ADULTERER AND THE LIAR WILL BE DEALT WITH...

It is written, Pro 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

It is written, Pro 17:11 An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.

It is written, Pro 17:13 Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

It is written, Pro 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

It is written, Pro 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

It is written, Pro 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

It is written, Pro 19:16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

It is written, Pro 19:29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

It is written, Pro 20:17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

It is written, Pro 21:12 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

It is written, Pro 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

KNOW THAT THERE IS HOPE AND GOD WILL DEFEND YOU....

It is written, Pro 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

It is written, Pro 22:23 For the Lord will give support to their cause, and take the life of those who take their goods.

It is written, 1Sa 24:15 The LORD will judge, and he will decide which one of us is wrong. May he look into the matter, defend me, and save me from you."

It is written, Psa 55:22 Leave your troubles with the LORD, and he will defend you; he never lets honest people be defeated.

It is written, Psa 91:4 He will cover you with his wings; you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you.

It is written, Psa 135:14 The LORD will defend his people; he will take pity on his servants.

It is written, Isa 11:4 he will judge the poor fairly and defend the rights of the helpless. At his command the people will be punished, and evil persons will die.

It is written, Isa 54:17 But no weapon will be able to hurt you; you will have an answer for all who accuse you. I will defend my servants and give them victory." The LORD has spoken.

It is written, Isa 60:18 The sounds of violence will be heard no more; Destruction will not shatter your country again. I will protect and defend you like a wall; You will praise me because I have saved you.

It is written, Joe 3:16 The LORD roars from Mount Zion; his voice thunders from Jerusalem; earth and sky tremble. But he will defend his people.

It is written, 2Co 6:2 Hear what God says: "When the time came for me to show you favor, I heard you; when the day arrived for me to save you, I helped you." Listen! This is the hour to receive God's favor; today is the day to be saved!

It is written, Pro 23:18 For without doubt there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

AND HE WILL COME AGAINST YOUR ENEMIES.....

It is written, Mat 22:44 'The Lord said to my Lord: Sit here at my right side until I put your enemies under your feet.'

It is written, Luk 20:42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms, 'The Lord said to my Lord: Sit here at my right side Luk 20:43 until I put your enemies as a footstool under your feet.'

It is written, Exo 15:6 "Your right hand, LORD, is awesome in power; it breaks the enemy in pieces.

It is written, Psa 76:3 There he broke the arrows of the enemy, their shields and swords, yes, all their weapons.

It is written, Exo 23:27 "I will make the people who oppose you afraid of me; I will bring confusion among the people against whom you fight, and I will make all your enemies turn and run from you.

It is written, Lev 26:7 You will be victorious over your enemies;

It is written, Deu 28:7 "The LORD will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack from one direction, but they will run from you in all directions.

It is written, Deu 30:7 He will turn all these curses against your enemies, who hated you and oppressed you,

It is written, Deu 32:34 "The LORD remembers what their enemies have done; he waits for the right time to punish them.

It is written, 1Sa 25:29 If anyone should attack you and try to kill you, the LORD your God will keep you safe, as someone guards a precious treasure. As for your enemies, however, he will throw them away, as someone hurls stones with a sling.

It is written, 2Sa 22:4 I call to the LORD, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the LORD!

It is written, 2Sa 22:40 You give me strength for the battle and victory over my enemies.

It is written, 2Sa 22:47 The LORD lives! Praise my defender! Proclaim the greatness of the strong God who saves me! 2Sa 22:48 He gives me victory over my enemies; he subdues the nations under me 2Sa 22:49 and saves me from my foes. O LORD, you give me victory over my enemies and protect me from violent men.

It is written, Psa 6:10 My enemies will know the bitter shame of defeat; in sudden confusion they will be driven away.

It is written, Psa 9:3 My enemies turn back when you appear; they fall down and die.

It is written, Psa 9:6 Our enemies are finished forever; you have destroyed their cities, and they are completely forgotten.

It is written, Psa 18:3 I call to the LORD, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the LORD!

It is written, Psa 18:17 He rescued me from my powerful enemies and from all those who hate me--- they were too strong for me.

It is written, Psa 18:39 You give me strength for the battle and victory over my enemies.

It is written, Psa 18:40 You make my enemies run from me; I destroy those who hate me.

It is written, Psa 18:47 He gives me victory over my enemies; he subdues the nations under me

It is written, Psa 18:48 and saves me from my foes. O LORD, you give me victory over my enemies and protect me from violent people.

It is written, Psa 23:5 You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim.

It is written, Psa 27:6 So I will triumph over my enemies around me. With shouts of joy I will offer sacrifices in his Temple; I will sing, I will praise the LORD.

It is written, Psa 30:1 I praise you, LORD, because you have saved me and kept my enemies from gloating over me.

It is written, Psa 31:20 You hide them in the safety of your presence from the plots of others; in a safe shelter you hide them from the insults of their enemies.

It is written, Psa 41:2 The LORD will protect them and preserve their lives; he will make them happy in the land; he will not abandon them to the power of their enemies.

It is written, Psa 44:5 and by your power we defeat our enemies.

It is written, Psa 44:7 but you have saved us from our enemies and defeated those who hate us.

It is written, Psa 49:5 I am not afraid in times of danger when I am surrounded by enemies,

It is written, Psa 53:5 But then they will become terrified, as they have never been before, for God will scatter the bones of the enemies of his people. God has rejected them, and so Israel will totally defeat them.

It is written, Psa 54:5 May God use their own evil to punish my enemies. He will destroy them because he is faithful.

It is written, Psa 54:7 You have rescued me from all my troubles, and I have seen my enemies defeated.

It is written, Psa 55:18 He will bring me safely back from the battles that I fight against so many enemies.

It is written, Psa 56:9 The day I call to you, my enemies will be turned back. I know this: God is on my side---

It is written, Psa 59:10 My God loves me and will come to me; he will let me see my enemies defeated.

It is written, Psa 60:12 With God on our side we will win; he will defeat our enemies.

It is written, Psa 61:3 for you are my protector, my strong defense against my enemies.

It is written, Psa 68:21 God will surely break the heads of his enemies, of those who persist in their sinful ways.

It is written, Psa 78:66 He drove his enemies back in lasting and shameful defeat.

It is written, Psa 81:14 I would quickly defeat their enemies and conquer all their foes.

It is written, Psa 89:22 His enemies will never succeed against him; the wicked will not defeat him.

It is written, Psa 92:9 We know that your enemies will die, and all the wicked will be defeated.

It is written, Psa 92:11 I have seen the defeat of my enemies and heard the cries of the wicked.

It is written, Psa 107:2 Repeat these words in praise to the LORD, all you whom he has saved. He has rescued you from your enemies

It is written, Psa 108:13 With God on our side we will win; he will defeat our enemies.

It is written, Psa 110:2 From Zion the LORD will extend your royal power. "Rule over your enemies," he says.

It is written, Psa 112:8 He is not worried or afraid; he is certain to see his enemies defeated.

It is written, Psa 118:7 It is the LORD who helps me, and I will see my enemies defeated.

It is written, Psa 118:10 Many enemies were around me; but I destroyed them by the power of the LORD!

It is written, Psa 124:6 Let us thank the LORD, who has not let our enemies destroy us.

It is written, Psa 132:18 I will cover his enemies with shame, but his kingdom will prosper and flourish."

It is written, Psa 136:24 he freed us from our enemies; his love is eternal.

It is written, Psa 138:7 When I am surrounded by troubles, you keep me safe. You oppose my angry enemies and save me by your power.

It is written, Isa 26:11 Your enemies do not know that you will punish them. LORD, put them to shame and let them suffer; let them suffer the punishment you have prepared. Show them how much you love your people.

It is written, Isa 33:1 Our enemies are doomed! They have robbed and betrayed, although no one has robbed them or betrayed them. But their time to rob and betray will end, and they themselves will become victims of robbery and treachery.

It is written, Isa 34:8 This is the time when the LORD will rescue Zion and take vengeance on her enemies.

It is written, Zec 8:2 "I have longed to help Jerusalem because of my deep love for her people, a love which has made me angry with her enemies.

It is written, Isa 63:4 I decided that the time to save my people had come; it was time to punish their enemies.

It is written, Jer 30:16 But now, all who devour you will be devoured, and all your enemies will be taken away as prisoners. All who oppress you will be oppressed, and all who plunder you will be plundered.

It is written, Jer 30:17 I will make you well again; I will heal your wounds, though your enemies say, 'Zion is an outcast; no one cares about her.' I, the LORD, have spoken."

It is written, Jer 51:36 And so the LORD said to the people of Jerusalem, "I will take up your cause and will make your enemies pay for what they did to you. I will dry up the source of Babylonia's water and make its rivers go dry.

It is written, Mic 7:10 Then our enemies will see this and be disgraced---the same enemies who taunted us by asking, "Where is the LORD your God?" We will see them defeated, trampled down like mud in the streets.

It is written, Nah 2:2 (The LORD is about to restore the glory of Israel, as it was before her enemies plundered her.)

SO JUST SAY....

It is written, Jer 20:12 But, Almighty LORD, you test people justly; you know what is in their hearts and minds. So let me see you take revenge on my enemies, for I have placed my cause in your hands.

AND HE HAS SENT ME TO TELL YOU....

It is written, Isa 35:4 Tell everyone who is discouraged, "Be strong and don't be afraid! God is coming to your rescue, coming to punish your enemies."

It is written, Phi 1:28 Don't be afraid of your enemies; always be courageous, and this will prove to them that they will lose and that you will win, because it is God who gives you the victory.

AND TO JUST BE PATIENT AND WAIT ON THE LORD....

It is written, Isa 62:8 The LORD has made a solemn promise, And by his power he will carry it out: "Your grain will no longer be food for your enemies, And foreigners will no longer drink your wine.

It is written, Heb 10:13 There he now waits until God puts his enemies as a footstool under his feet.

It is written, 2Co 6:4 Instead, in everything we do we show that we are God's servants by patiently enduring troubles, hardships, and difficulties.
2Co 6:5 We have been beaten, jailed, and mobbed; we have been overworked and have gone without sleep or food. 2Co 6:6 By our purity, knowledge, patience, and kindness we have shown ourselves to be God's servants---by the Holy Spirit, by our true love, 2Co 6:7 by our message of truth, and by the power of God. We have righteousness as our weapon, both to attack and to defend ourselves. 2Co 6:8 We are honored and disgraced; we are insulted and praised. We are treated as liars, yet we speak the truth; 2Co 6:9 as unknown, yet we are known by all; as though we were dead, but, as you see, we live on. Although punished, we are not killed; 2Co 6:10 although saddened, we are always glad; we seem poor, but we make many people rich; we seem to have nothing, yet we really possess everything.

AND KNOW THAT GOD WILL TURN YOUR SPOUSE AROUND.....

It is written, Pro 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

It is written, Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

It is written, Pro 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, REMEMBER...It is written, Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

SO EVERYTHING SPOKEN (IT IS WRITTEN) ABOVE WILL COME TO PASS...

AND NOW AS FOR US, TAKE HEED WHEN IT DOES COME, AND IT IS COMING.....

It is written, Isa 66:14 When you see this happen, you will be glad; it will make you strong and healthy. Then you will know that I, the LORD, help those who obey me, and I show my anger against my enemies."

BUT......

It is written, Pro 24:17 Do not be glad at the fall of your hater, and let not your heart have joy at his downfall: Pro 24:18 For fear that the Lord may see it, and it may be evil in his eyes, and his wrath may be turned away from him.

Brothers and Sisters, I could go on and on with Gods word, there is so much more that He has spoken to us to give us His promise of all these things. Jesus talked back to satan that day with the word of God. When satan is talking to you, when you find yourself believing what satan is showing you, it is time to talk back to him and tell him THAT IT IS WRITTEN.....

I want to talk to you about faith for a moment as well. Just something that came to me today while driving to work. I heard Rod Parsley this morning speaking about as a young pastor he had stated to a visiting elder pastor that he guess he needed more faith, and the elder pastor told him that he did not need more faith, he had enough faith because just believing in God was faith enough. I pondered this, and found myself thinking about Mary and Martha on the day Jesus finally showed up three days late when Lazarus died and was buried. They were right there in the presence of Jesus, touching him, speaking directly to him in person and he speaking back to them. They had witnessed the miraculous by His hand over and over again, including the raising of the dead already, and still they could not even imagine that He would raise Lazarus from the dead, did not even think to ask it of Him...all they felt was that it was too late. The scripture came to me, Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us...

Here is the thing, sometimes there are just things that we have a hard time feeling or visualizing the ability to happen, it seems impossible to us, just like Lazarus walking out of that tomb was not even imaginable to Mary and Martha, despite how close they were to Jesus and witnessed with their own eyes the miraculous things He did. Satan tends to make sure it looks impossible, as he is a master of deceit, nothing but a liar. Sometimes we are not capable as humans to feel the possibility in the heat of the trial of suffering, and this is why He said what He did in Ephesians, because He knows our vunerbilites, He created us. But if we believe in Him, in His word, and that is the easy part because we all do by blind faith, then we can rest assured that even in our incapabilities, He is very capable of anything and everything.

One last thing God imparted to me this week, that my happiness is not contingent on my husband, it is contingent on God Himself. Get it into your spirit, that you are blessed. No matter what happens, you are blessed, because you are a child of God. It is written, Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Eph 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Eph 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Our spouses are not our happiness in themselves, but only vessels that God can work in and through to bring us happiness in the area of our marriage. Happiness with our spouses is not contingent on them, but contingent on God who will create in them a person whom we can be happy with. We hear all the time that our spouses are not the enemy, satan is, and that is true. But lets stop even focusing on who the enemy is. Lets take our eyes off him and put them on God, because He is our defender and protector, and this is His battle. The only reason satan even comes at us is because he hates God. We belong to God, whom he cannot touch, so he goes at us instead hoping to make us angry at God, hoping to make us believe that God does not care about us, hoping that we will walk away from God. Just as he has been making so many of you feel the past couple of weeks. He is trying to rob God of you...that is his main objective. He is Gods advesary. But, God dealt with him long ago. When Jesus uttered "It is finished" and took His last breath, it was finished, a done deal, over with, signed..sealed...delivered". We are Gods, just as Jesus is Gods. We are sons and daughters of the living God, just as Jesus is. We are blessed, just as Jesus is. We are what God says we are, we have what God says we have, and thats just the end of the story. God says we are one flesh with our spouses, and no man can separate us because He joined us together as that one flesh. Say Amen...which amen means "so be it". God said it, so be it, it's done, and no one can change that. As long as you believe in God, stay in His righteousness and stand with God sheltered under His wing, believing what He says is truth and nothing short of, so it has to come to pass as He promises it will, then you have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about. On the contrary, you have something to smile and laugh about, something to sing praises to Him about. This is why praise and worship is one of your greatest weapons against satan, it lets satan know...that you know...that he is defeated and you are victorious in God. In the bible, God sent armies out to battle with nothing but musical instruments, right to the enemy front lines, and told them to make music and song, praises to the Lord; and when they did, their enemies were instantly defeated. These were enemies with real weapons and they were defeated and fell just at the sound of praise and worship to God. How do you think those soldiers of God felt...knowing that they were going to be face to face with a man bearing a dangerous weapon of war and themselves would only be holding a musical instrument? That as their advesary would be raising up an ax to lop off their head, they would be strumming a harp as a defense. They were human just as we are, and they had fears, doubts, faith failure. But, the key is that they also had belief in what God told them to do and the victory is told them would be theirs. They trusted Him even when it definitely looked utterly impossible to defeat a much larger army bearing serious weapons with them only having instruments to play music on. The weapon that won those impossible battles was their trust in God and what He told them. So rise up child of God, talk back to satan with the word of God that He has spoke to you, rise up and trust the Lord your God and be joyous in your heart because God has you covered and you cannot be defeated. As you stand on the front line facing the enemy, make music and song to God, praising Him, and wait patiently in peace and joy for your enemy to fall, as he is going fall and be defeated.
