CLARA HARRIS

Who is Clara Harris? She is me, you or potentially any person that comes into CPR Ministries. Clara is a friend of mine, someone that I have come to know and love due to marriage attack that led to tragedy in her life. She is no different then any one of the rest of us here, accept that she did not have the support and wisdom of spiritual warfare to bring victory in her marriage and life, and she has suffered great tragedy as a result. I would like to introduce you to Clara and tell you a bit about her, who she was and is, and then I will tell you the rest of the story.

The past two plus years I have plunged head first into researching everything I could about Clara and the event that happened on July of 2002. Before I had even heard Clara's name, the Lord had been taking me on a long journey of revelations concerning the dark forces that operate in marriages, especially in cases of adultery. Towards the end of this journey, the Lord dropped Clara Harris right in my lap. I am not a news watcher and do not keep up with world events, so I had never heard of Clara. One day as I stood in a long check out line in a very small town dollar store, I felt a pull to look behind me. In doing so there was a revolving book rack and my eyes were immediately drawn to a single book nested among many others. I felt prompted to take the book and place it in with my other items to be checked out, not really noting what it was about. When I returned home and settled in, I picked up the book to read and did not set it down until I reached the end. It was exactly the thing the Lord had been revealing to me, as if the Lord were telling me that here before me was a real life case study of all He had revealed to me over the past couple of years. I was stunned, and hence my devoted research to Clara and her story for the past two years since that day. The Lord prompted me to write a book concerning all He has revealed to me over these years, which I have done and dedicated to Clara as I feel the Lord wanted me to do. The Lord also opened the door for me to really meet and come to know Clara personally. I feel like I already knew her however, having researched her entire life for the two years prior to actually speaking to her in person. I want to share with you who Clara Harris is.

We speak alot here on CPR about the Proverbs 31 wife, that this is what we wives here on the ministry should strive to be like. Clara was that woman. Clara was a standard of woman that we all could look up to and only hope that we could be a little bit like.

Colombian-born Clara was always an achiever, once crowned a beauty queen, she left her underpriviledged past and set out to build a good and secure life, depending on no'one but herself to achieve her dreams and goals. Clara was a hard worker. She put herself through dentistry school, which is where she met her husband David. Together they built a prominent career in the ownership of six successful dental clinics in Texas. So here we have a picture of a woman whom the media quotes as, "Clara, who had the courage to emigrate from South America, the perseverance to speak perfect English, the brains to complete college and graduate school, the fortitude to finish a residency and the savvy to establish a successful dental practice".

Clara worked hard everyday in the clinic, referring patients who needed orthodontics to her husband who would come in at different times weekly to provide service to those patients. Clara was well known for her soft heart, when patients could not afford the dental care needed, Clara would provide it at no cost to the humorous dismay of her husband. The Harris's were a Christian family, a church going family. After long days in the clinic, Clara would rush home to pick up their twin boys, cook dinner, bathe the children and be everything a mother and wife should be. This is what amazed me about Clara, her seemingly never ending energy and devotion to getting things done. Most of us work all day and just want to relax, and we struggle to be all things to everyone. Clara never seemed to have a problem with this, and she loved what she did, it was not just a sense of duty that drove Clara, but a real love and devotion to her husband and children. Clara wanted the best of life for her family. Clara was such an outstanding mother and wife, that even her stepdaughter adored her. Many of us have stepchildren and we know how strained the step relationships can be, but this was not the case with Clara and Lindsey. Lindsey loved Clara like her own mother, and that was because of who Clara was. By all standards, the Harris's were the perfect all American family, and there was nothing phoney about that. Clara was adored by her husband and their children, her in laws, her employees, and her patients. She was just an outstanding person. If there was any crack that could be paramount in the breakdown of their marriage, it would be Clara falling asleep in their twins bed from shear exhaustin when getting them to sleep. This was not a crime, this was the devotion of a mother who worked exceptionally hard in all things. Something that should be lovingly admired by the father of those children. It was nothing that is out of the norm and most certainly could be worked through. I am sure that Clara herself wanted to make it to her own bed every night rather then pass out in the twins room while reading a story. Overall, life was good in the Harris home, one that many of us would have been envious of.

Then one day in came this woman.

I now would like to introduce you to Gail Bridges. Gail was a woman with a tainted past. A wife and mother herself, she had a history of affairs and causing disruption in the marriages of others. She even did a stint in disguise on the Sally Jessie Rapheal show about lesbian relationships. It was unfortunite that she walked into one of the Harris dental clinics one day to apply for a job. Unskilled and unemployable, she used her 'lady in distress' charm to convince David Harris to give her a chance. If it had been Clara interviewing her, maybe what was to come would have been avoided. But the enemy knows our weaknesses, and apparently David Harris's was a soft heart for a lady in distress. Gail Bridges managed to cry her way into a position of employment and from there set her sights on David for even greater gain. Many of us here on CPR are very familar with the Gail Bridges in the world, we ourselves have had to defend our marriage and families from this intruder. Suddenly Clara was herself facing off with the devil in a skirt and she just did not know how to fight this battle.

The affair between David and Gail soon came out. Gail, as most adulteresses are, was not one for descreation and liked to flaunt her wickedness. Many of the clinic staff quickly recognized the wolf among them, and one day Davids daughter Lindsey, on break from school and helping out in the clinic, also noted the situation. Lindsey was very upset with her father and allied with Clara to stop this invasion into their lives and family. That alone shows the character of Clara Harris, that her stepdaughter would be devastated over her fathers actions and would run to defend, protect, and to stand beside Clara.

How did Clara respond to this situation? Even in the face of such betrayal, Clara only looked inwards to herself, believing she was at fault, that she could be better, do better. Clara went out of her way to improve what to me could not be improved upon, Gail Bridges could not hold a flicker of a candle to Clara. David had Clara jot down a list of comparisons between herself and Gail. This broke my heart. Clara was told that she was fat, that she was not nice to cuddle with like Gail, that she was basically too ambitious, she did not have big breasts like Gail. It was a horrible list of things that Clara responded to by trying to change herself, instead of knowing that she outshone Gail Bridges in every aspect. Clara quit working at the clinic so she could be home full time for David and the children. She went out and had her hair cut and dyed. She signed up in a gym to diet and improve her body image. She went to a cosmetic surgeon and paid for breast implants. Had her nails done. Went shopping for sexy lingerie and made sure she was available for David and sexually appealing. Clara desparately tried to change herself into everything her husband thought he wanted. That is the kind of wife Clara Harris was. She fought desparately to save her marriage and family.

I quote again from Court Tv media, "David lined up Clara and his mistress on his mental stage and played Are You Hot?, complete with David, in Lorenzo Lamas' chair, sneering put-downs of his wife's flesh. And she allowed it. She didn't just listen; she took notes on a cocktail napkin, which was later introduced into evidence at her trial. Clara's response was not to throw her drink at him, slap him, kick his kneecaps under the table, or commit any other batteries for which no police officer, male or female, would have charged her. Instead, Clara sprang into action directed only against herself. Unbelievably, she immediately quit her job to stay at home to have sex with David three times a night (that's what she said; somehow he could have both a torrid sex life and a career, but she'd have to choose). She promptly scheduled breast implant surgery and liposuction, bought lingerie, went to the tanning salon, joined an expensive gym and dyed her hair blonde. In her desperation to keep her man, she was willing to give up the profession for which she had worked for decades, and devote herself full-time to remaking her body so as to define herself purely as a sexual object for her husband's enjoyment. David was Dr. Frankenstein, specifying in detail how Clara should be literally carved up and rebuilt from the inside out. She submitted, unable to see that she was creating a monster within her self. I'd say that once a woman is willing to sacrifice everything that defines her for the sake of a man, we've already lost her. The murder that follows is merely a denouement."

Even then David did not like what he had created in Clara. Why would he? As we know, Gail Bridges was just a counterfeit woman led in by the enemy. Clara, as she is, was the wife that David loved and needed, he was just blinded by the lies of the enemy and the tool of Gail Bridges sent to destroy what belonged to God and was so wonderfully put together.

David vowed to work out the marriage and stop seeing Gail Bridges, but like many of our own prodigals, he was making rules and stipulations. He insisted that he would meet with Gail one more time to break it off in person, that he owed that to Gail (As if the intruder in a marriage is ever owed anything, but that is how messed up their thinking is). Gail had already been fired from the clinic by Clara when the news of the affair came out. Clara, like the rest of us, was not comfortable with this meeting. I can tell you that when this stipulation was given to me by my own husband, I put my foot down and said no. Clara, being the sacrificing woman that she was, just accepted the event. Clara had hired a private investigation company to watch David, just for her own peace of mind. Something that most of us would like to be able to do, but cannot afford. You can imagine what Clara suffered the day that David left to meet with Gail Bridges. The same thing we all would suffer. Great anxiety and restlessness, worry, fear. These emotions finally drove Clara out of the house to look for David and Gail, but they were not at the place that David said they would be. Instead, as Clara found out from the investigator following him, they were at the luxurious hotel where David and Clara had held their wedding reception. There were so many stabs in Clara's heart, repeated wounds of betrayal and devastation. The comparison list, the tainting of a place that was special to Clara. Having been wounded myself by my own husband, I cannot imagine the degree of pain Clara was feeling. Even my own husband in his state of sin did not so blatantly wound me as David was doing to Clara.

Clara arrived just in time to witness her husband, arm in arm and loving it up with Gail Bridges, step out of the elevator returning from the rooms upstairs which is a clear image of this was not a meeting to break it off. Clara reacted like any one of us would have, being confronted with such a scene and already being the walking wounded as she was. She fought for her husband and marriage. Yes, we are not to handle such situations with violence, we know that, Clara knew that, but we are all human and if there is anyone that can honestly say that they would not have reacted in the same way, then as Jesus stated, "Throw the first stone" or just merely accept my kudos to you. You will have a hard time convincing me that in Clara's shoes you would not have responded in a like manner in the face of such pain and betrayal. I can admit that when I myself was pushed beyond my limit, I reacted in this manner also, and I do my very best to be the example in Christ. When you have suffered so many deeply instituted stabs to your heart, you become like a wounded animal in defense.

Clara reacted and Lindsey reacted as well, and quite a scene ensued in the lobby of this upscale hotel. In defending her marriage and family, instead of David tending to his distaught wife and daughter, in his lost and sinful state he instead came against them and defended Gail Bridges. He attacked Clara pushing her to the ground humiliating her even further, and then he walked out with Gail yelling over his shoulder that the marriage was over, this despite his own daughter crying out to him that she hated him for what he was doing to Clara and their family. He was under such an extreme binding by Bridges that even words of hate from his beloved flesh and blood did not phase him. My own husband has testified of the hold this adulteress spirit wraps around a person.

I can only imagine the state of mind that Clara went into at this point. The word 'catatonic' comes to mind. I can assure you that Clara was not fully there at this moment, call it shock, shutdown, I dont know how you could describe the state Clara had to be in. After all the sharp and deep stabs into her heart, the criticizm she endured, taking all the blame, making all the efforts, after all the years of a blissful marriage that in the space of a week (exactly seven days) turned into all this other coming at her by the hand of an intruder. Her mind had been in a whirlwind for days, scrambling to do all these things to please David, to save her marriage. Clara had already totally lost herself and at this moment it had to seem like there was nothing left. Just a deep black void that she was spiraling downward into. I have been in this place before myself, and I can tell you that Clara checked out opening a door whereby something else checked in.

Clara and Lindsey walked to Clara's car and before them played out a scene of David tending to Gail Bridges, helping her to her vehicle, apologizing to her instead of his family. Clara started her car and pulled out to leave, and from there the thing that checked in took over. Clara's vehicle veered towards the persons who had caused all the devastation, yes, and then Clara ran over her husband killing him. It is claimed that Clara ran him over three times, circling back again and again, but expert testimonie revealed that what was actually witnessed in videotape taken by the PI on the scene was not a bumping over Davids body, but bumping over the median that was near him. Regardless, Clara was not the one physically in control of her car during this event. It may have looked like Clara, but Clara had checked out and something evil had checked in.

This story concludes with a husband that died in adultery, a wife who is now spending 20 years in prison, a daughter who lost a father with her last words to him being that she hates him and now she has to live with that the rest of her life, two small boys parentless, their lives and home destroyed, parents who have lost children, and many others that loved Clara and David devastated....and the instigator of it all, Gail Bridges, walking off care free to seek out her next victim.

You may ask if I condone the actions of Clara Harris by the writing of this and supporting her and seeking her release. No, I do not condone the death of anyone, but I know in my heart and spirit that Clara was not the one who took Davids life. Gail Bridges and the dark forces of this world took Davids life. First I will ask you, would a woman that loved her husband so much, who sacrificed her very self for that man, who fought to such extents to preserve her marriage and family, take the life of that husband? No she wouldnt.

God revealed to me the spirit of Gail Bridges over the course of two years before I ever even heard the name of Clara Harris, and then God laid Clara before me and showed me the extent of destruction this spirit will wreck upon a marriage and a family. God also allowed me to experience this very same spirit for over two years, my own personal battle with this same spirit so that I could understand its nature and the way it operates. God also allowed me to experience the checking out of myself and the checking in of this spirit, but protected me from the degree of destruction that Clara experienced. I now know that He did this so that I could bear witness to what happened to Clara that evening. I had read that Clara's attorney had made a statement along the lines of if there was anyone who could have explained what was going on within Clara during those moments of the event, she may have been acquitted. I instantly thought that I could tell you exactly what was going on within Clara during those moments, because I know personally. Believe me it was not the flesh reactions of a woman scorned. It was not a mental breakdown. It was not losing control. An act of passion. It was not any of the things that man tries to label it to be. If man wants to label it as a temporary mental illness, then I guess that would be getting close to what it actually is, because most mental illness is demonic oppression. They just fail to recognize the demons.

My book goes into greater detail of this spirit, my experiences with this spirit and all that God has shown me about this spirit. What I can tell you in short form is this, a demonic spirit (they walk among us daily and seek out those they can destroy) operating through Gail Bridges oppressed David Harris and blinded him, leading him out to death. The main goal of this spirit is death. Proverbs tells us that the adulteress is death, her footsteps lead to death, her pathways to hell, that she preys upon the very life of the man. Like sheep led to slaughter. Davids death was actually scriptural, and if he would have continued on the path he was with Gail Bridges, death would have came to him in one way or another. God never lies, and you can take His word to the bank. In Clara's weakened state, mentally, spiritually, physically, the scene playing out before her opened her up long enough for this spirit who was manipulating everything and everyone else, to jump onto her and use her to achieve its ultimate goal, death. Physical death to David, death to a marriage, death to everything that was good and of God. When it was done, it threw Clara down like a ragdoll leaving her confused and bewildered at what had just happened. I have been momentarilly overcome by this spirit myself and I know what was going on within Clara. Within herself, submerged, she witnessed the horror playing out before her by her own hands, yet she was helpless to stop it. She was not in control. The only thing that I have been able to compare it to is childbirth. There comes a stage in labor where your body takes over and begins to push the baby out. I have noted in giving birth to four children that it is this very stage when the physician begins instructing not to push, this is when the physician needs to make the epesiotomy cut. As hard as your mind sends the signal to your body to stop pushing, your body does not obey what your mind is saying and continues to push. You are no longer in control of your body. When this spirit takes over, your mind screams to stop, but there is nothing you can do to implement that, you are no longer in control. When it is over, you are left limp and confused, screaming "What happened, what did I do"?

Clara did not kill her husband, Clara was just left holding the bag once it was done. Just as I once stood myself in bewilderment, watching everything my husband owned totally destroyed and burning, wondering what happened, what did I do? My body, under the influence of that spirit, picked up large heavy pieces of music stage equipment and smashed it to bits, equipment that I could not even budge in my normal physical state. And it did so with great speed and energy. I cannot explain to you the state you are left in when it is finally over, pure confusion, shock, horror. No, this is not the old cliche of "The devil made me do it". However I would like to point out that most cliches were intially spoken in truth and over time became humorous excuses. As a sister in Christ and I discussed just the other day, even unbelievers know that spiritual law exists, even if they do not know it is spiritual and the word of God, hence the cliche of "What goes around, comes around". This is merely the worlds awareness of we do reap what we sow. Therefore it is not so hard to believe that possibly the first person to utter the words, "The devil made me do it", was speaking quite seriously. In mans ignorance and disbelief of the spiritual workings that are very real in this world we live in, it became a source of humorous excuse. Everything that happens in this world we live in is spoke of somewhere within the bible, and the happenings of this event in Clara's life is there as well. You can choose to hide your head in the sand and feel a false sense of security from what walks among us and seeks our destruction, as if not acknowledging it will make it just go away and leave you alone, or you can open yourself up to the truth and the wisdom of God to be able to defeat them instead. They are not going to go away and as a child of the living God, they are seeking you out, you are a target. It is part of my assignment by God to open your eyes and give you the wisdom you need to fight against them.

So yes, I stand by Clara Harris and I defend her all the way. I pray and cry out for her release. I seek restoration for Clara of all that is left. I cry out for her children, that they be restored to their mother, their home, their life. We cannot bring David back, he sorrowfully met his scriptural fate at the hands of Gail Bridges and the demons that operate within her, but we can take back some of things that satan has stolen from this family. We can reverse some of the destruction the enemy has wrecked upon this family that belongs to the Lord.

As for Gail Bridges, there is no remorse or repentence, as expected. In fact she concluded a interview with this statement, "David said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and he did." That is the cold callousness of Gail Bridges, of the spirit that operates within her. The only thing that mattered to her was the taste of victory. She does not have David, he is gone, but she is happy in the fact that she did get the rest of his life, as short as that was. Her goal was death, as Proverbs tells us, and many are her slain. This statement alone speaks clearly of who really took Davids life.

Mans laws are not Gods laws as we know, and mans courts are not Gods courts. I believe that in a spiritual court, Gail Bridges would be the one held accountable for the devastation of the Harris family. That the blood of David Harris in on the hands of Gail Bridges, not Clara. According to biblical law, Gail would be facing death by stoning. You may be questioning if I myself forgive Gail Bridges for what she has done. Yes, I have no problem forgiving Gail for her part, the person of Gail Bridges which I have to question how much person is left of her, and then I question what forgiveness is there for satan and his demonic legions. I witness no repentence in Gail Bridges, just more cold wickedness and if Gail chooses to walk in darkness and be a instrument of demonic manipulation, then I more pity her then anything else. I believe that pity in itself is a form of forgiveness where the anger is absent. It is acknowledging that there could still be a person in there and you can forgive that person without accepting the demonic spirits and what they do. You can feel a empathy for what that person has to face in time. Spiritual law is that we will reap what we sow, and Gail Bridges has a great deal to reap. One cannot help but feel pity for her because the forces that work within her have no more love or caring for her then they did for David Harris, in time they will only destroy her as well. Along with pity, I feel great concern over what she may yet do to someone else. I know that she is once again out there roaming and seeking who she can destroy.

Any one of us could be where Clara is right now. The bible gives us warning about who we really battle with in this world, powers, principalities and the dark forces of this world. They are among us and many of us are battling with our own Gail Bridges. The world, men who live in and for this world, do not see nor understand the spiritual realm around us, but God expects those who belong to Him to acknowledge and understand it and to bring wisdom to others about it. We are to judge and try Clara in the spiritual courts of God, not in mans manner and views. Clara is a victim of demonic assualt, just like the rest of us here on CPR. We need to thank God that we found our way to the wisdom of God and how to defeat these entitys from our lives before they caused such devastation in our situations, and we need to reach out to Clara and help her come back and be restored as much as she can be. Clara is each and every one of us, an example of just how far the dark forces will and can go in our own situations. We could not be there for Clara before this tragedy, we missed it, but we can be here for her now and help bring her out of this tragedy. We can pray against the Gail Bridges that are being manipulated by these dark forces, pray ultimately for their deliverance but until that time that they be hedged up and unable to do harm, and we can educate others so that hopefully they will never succeed to this degree again in anyone elses life.

You will find all kinds of commentaries on the web about this tragic event. One man in particular, Glenn Sacks, feels he is avenging David by making horrible opinions about Clara and painting her a vicious murderess on a vengence. There are others who hold Clara up as a hero for taking action against adultery. Neither of these viewpoints apply to this situation. David does not need defending, Clara was the first one who tried to defend David and their family. David was a victim, just as Clara was, although to a less innocent degree. Clara loved David, still loves David, so much that she sold herself out for him, did everything in her power to make him happy and save their marriage. I believe that David himself, wherever he resides at this time, regrets every word he spoke and every action he took in this. That he would be the first to defend Clara now and strive to set her free and return her to their children. I am sure that David, at this point, is very repentive and would give anything to go back and change the events that happened that evening. That David clearly sees Gail Bridges as the grim reaper of death that she was and only can wish he had his wife and family back as they were before Gail intruded in upon them. Clara is neither a woman scorned nor a hero, she is just a truly victimized wife in the most extreme sense of the word. Just like so many of us here on CPR, and it is time to take a stand against the enemy of God, the destroyer of Gods children and marriages. I can remember back when it was myself that was overcome and a heap of destruction lay before me in the aftermath. I also had those who held me up as a hero and those who labeled me as psychotic. I was neither, I was just a woman who was fighting for her family and nothing more. Something that many, like Glenn Sacks, can never understand nor comprehend in this easily throw away world we live in.

I ask you to join me in this spiritual and physical fight for Clara and her family. Clara and I now correspond in person. It was something that I never expected, but the Lord has again opened the doors between myself and Clara to that extent. God has called me out to help Clara and has led the way and cleared the way for me to be able to do just that. I have went from picking up a book off a revolving book rack in a 'hole in the wall' small town dollar store to personal contact with the subject of that book, a contact that I know was humanly difficult to obtain, but not difficult for God. I merely emailed a comment from a supporters of Clara Harris link, and quickly recieved a response from a friend of Clara's that said God told Clara that He was sending someone to her, and that she had been waiting for me and was requesting if she could personally write to me. God touched me with Clara, and touched Clara with me. That is how God works, and He is so amazing to me. If God was not in this and working to bring Clara out, He would not have orchestrated all this with me and Clara, I know that and I know therefore that God holds Clara harmless in this tragedy. I pray that all of you are spiritually connected enough to know the truth about Clara and what happened that evening in July of 2002. The book will be published soon, and it will give your greater insight into this demonic operation that is working in all of our marriages. A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will be donated to Clara's defense fund as the Lord has pressed on me to do.

I will be from this point on, keeping a running update on Clara's spiritual status and needs so that you can pray specifically for her. Right now she would appreciate prayers over a upcoming hearing on January 8th for a wrongful death suit filed by Davids parents. Although Gerald and Mildred supported and testified on Clara Harris' behalf during her criminal trial, they are now seeking damages for pain and mental anguish as well as loss of inheritance that they claim they would have gotten had David lived to his natural death. Any money should belong to the Harris children, they are the ones in need and whom any inheritance should go to.
